Ashley Long

Ashley has been a dental hygienist since 2008. She was born and raised in Iva and is married and has a stepson. Ashley has known since the 8th grade that she wanted to become a hygienist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, decorating her home for different seasons, attending her church, and beach and mountain getaways.

When asked what she does to make patients feel more comfortable, she responded “I give words of encouragement, always ask the patient if they are ok, I try to warn a patient if something may hurt so they expect it. Sometimes giving a patient a detailed description of a procedure, it helps them to know what’s coming up so there aren’t any surprises. Just being kind and patient with a smile goes a long way!”

One of Ashley’s bucket list items is to travel out west with her husband.
